In Holland we have this saying 'Je ziet er op je Paasbest uit' (you're looking at your Easter best)... this goes all the way back to the tradition that people (who often could not afford to wear beautiful clothes) used to dress up for Easter...
But some still hold onto that tradition... my mum did... I remember often getting new clothes specially for Easter when I was a child... and I still honor that tradition...
Bought a lovely red and bright pink sweater, with a matching bright red T-shirt... love wearing those colors... it brightened my whole day... made me feel that Spring is finally here, that it was time for something fresh and new... so a did a little blog redo... made a 'bright and fresh' new banner (and finally managed to get it up!), changed some fonds and colors, and started to 'clean out' my photo albums in the left column... love to clean out and re-decorate... it always gives me the idea of a new start... (So Stacy, if that isn't making the best of my day, than I don't know what is...) ánd what a day...
It all started all good for me, because I could sleep in... and when I came down Gerard and Stach were dressing the table for a lovely Easter breakfast... see that lovely yellow and green basket made by Stach?
And then it was time for some egg hunting at Grandma Annette's...
It's a family tradition, and always great fun! It wasn't always easy finding all the eggs in her garden (which resulted in grandma finding stinky eggs in the middle of summer in her flowerbed...) so the Easter bunny left a map this time, in case we missed a few! So thoughtful of him! But it wasn't necessary... Job, Hasse and Stach found all the 15 eggs within 15 minutes! I even had to hurry to get good pictures of the hidden eggs...
It was a great hunt, with great results...
Such a creative bunny...
and a lovely morning to take pictures...
How was your Easter?
