How about this bed?

Oh, i made a perfect post for you this weekend from the road... but i couldn't get it uploaded! Bummer...!!!

...because i had a very special place to share with you! You never guessed where i have slept this past weekend...

Oh yes... in a real suite...

...in this bed!!!

We had a family weekend with my in laws, and my brother in law booked a few suites in a very special hotel in Edam! Lovely weather, great food with matching wines to every course (yes, i know... i'm actually not allowed to drink alcohol anymore due to my heart condition... but  i had a few sips of all of them... it's one of the best things you know, having a matching wine with your food! If you've never tried it, please do (if you like wine, that is...)! It's really wonderful!) and a bit of culture!

It was a good end to a busy week... Stach wasn't feeling well last Tuesday, so i spent an afternoon with him on the couch under a blanket, watching Harry Potter! And that did the trick, i can tell ya... he felt much better the next day!

I had another hospital appointment... needed a heart-echo again to see if the meds are doing what they're supposed to do! Well, it seems there's some improvement, hurray! Hopefully it's enough! Within a couple of weeks i get another nucl. scan to find out... keep your fingers crossed!

And the rest of my week was filled with work, cleaning, grocery shopping, tidying... all that 'mum stuff' a lot of you are familiar with! And when all that was done, my energy was gone! So i don't have a lot of  creative stuff to share...

but i made another page for my LSNED album... played with some new Tilda paper and... yep... my Silhouette again!

Stach's having Autumn holiday this week, so i'm not sure how much creative time i can squeeze in these next few days! Hopefully i'll be back soon with more pages!

 

Learn something new page 4 and 5...

Oh yes... i did mention in my last post that i might have caught a nasty stomach flu bug, didn't i?

Well, i did, let me tell ya... found myself on the couch in the living room last Sunday, completely out of energy and not feeling well... fortunately i was able to eat and i didn't had a fever, but these were the only plus points! Not able to do anything for a couple of days, and the worst thing of all was that i was worried sick that the cancer got back in my intestines... that's  one of the difficult things about being a cancer patient... you always worry that it's back when something out of the ordinary happens in your body... i do anyway...

But... i'm feeling a bit better, and was even able to go back to work on Thursday! Hurray!

Have some pages to show from my LSNED project... i jotted all my lessons down during the class in my notebook and took pictures on a daily basis, so now i can make all my pages now in my own pace...

(It's supposed to be a white background... it looked alright when i loaded the picture in photo-shop, but when i see it here posted in all it glory it appears way to gray... ah well... that could easily be a lesson that i have to learn too, wink!)

The lesson for this day was to simple... you can write about your lesson in several ways: telling it in a broad way without adding to much detail, or narrow it down... i choose to leave all the specifics about my lesson out of my story... this one could easily do without all the details...

I added a doily shape cut with my Silhouette, used my sewing machine again and added a brad from the new Lost & Found collection by My Minds Eye!

This fun blue-ish butterfly paper is from Prima from the new released Jack n' Jill collection... unfortunately the shiny varnish i added to the raised butterfly doesn't show in this picture...

Another great lesson... some of those come back time after time, like an ongoing lesson throughout our lives...

And on this page i used another cut shape with my Silhouette... that machine is really perfect to make matching embellishments for these pages, because it can cut so small! Love it!

That's it for now... hope to have a better week with lot's of energy, because i want to make lot's of pages! Hope you have a great week too!!! What do you have planned?

 

Learn something new page 3...

Have been a bit 'under the weather' these last few days... stomach problems or something... (a collegae of mine has a very nasty stomach flu, so i might have cought that bug too, who knows...) and a total lack of energy! I'm not in bed or something, good heavens no.... have had enough of that this past year (wink!) but things were not 'really up to speed' so to speak...

Anyway... i'm still playing in my Learn something new every day album... this is page 3...

Hmmm, it's hard to make good pictures lately.. it's dark very early... it's supposed to be a white background, but you get it, right? If you want to read the journaling, click on the photo!
