Do you know that feeling when life seems to get in the way of what you really wanted to do? Well, i do know... one moment it's still October, and when you look at your calender again it's December already!
I got several messages of concern from you, my loyal readers (thanks so much, i really appreciate it!!!), so before i get back into the 'normal blogging routine' i'll have an update first...
October and the first part of November haven't been really productive and exiting. Had a complete lack of energy due to the side effects from the heart medication (pain in my stomach and intestines). The cardiologist tried to assure me that it was a very common problem among patients who take these kind of meds, but after several weeks i still felt lousy. My GP checked me out because i got very concerned in the end about it but she couldn't find anything suspicious. She gave me a prescription (nice... more stuff that i need to take on a daily basis!) and that seems to help a bit.
And i had another check-up with my oncologist a few weeks ago! He didn't find anything peculiar, so i think i'm alright and cancer free! But he doesn't want to continue with my treatment because he's afraid that it will affect my heart too much. Meaning that i could be in a wheelchair within 10 years from now if we do continue! So... the Herceptine is a no-go area! And that means that i'm done with my treatment, and can think about the operations i still need/want to have. But not before the cardiologist gives me a thumbs up for that! I'm speaking about it with him in January. For now i'm done with hospitals for the rest of this year!!! Yeah!!
Enough about all of that... there has been more to my life than meds, hospitals and doctors, thank goodness!! Besides going to the office 3 days a week now I made another t-shirt, had a few trips to my local SB store, wore my pink-ribbon bracelet with pride, made cute B-day invitations and before i new it was time to bake 'pepernoten' and prepare other Sinterklaas treats!

Speaking of B-day invitations... i'm 41 now! Whow... i really did make it!
I celebrated this special day with friends and family on a lovely Sunday afternoon... i invited them to a Autumn walk in the woods, with hot chocolate, 'bokbier' and yummy treats...

Great fun and fantastic weather! I got spoiled with a lot of cash so i could 'break a leg' at the Kreadoe (craft-show) that was scheduled a week later and this fun gift from Gerard and Stach...
Ali posted about it a few month ago, and when i saw this fun gadget it went straight to my wish-list! The pictures are a bit smaller than the old polaroid ones, but perfect for mini books and such! It's really great fun to see the photo's popping out of the camera and even more fun to see the image slowly appear!!!
Well, so far for my update! Time to call it a day... have a long day at the office tomorrow, so i better get a good night sleep! Thanks for checking in on Life and Scrapping... next post it's all about that most wonderful time of the year!
