What a week it's been! Glad that it's weekend and that i'm able to spent my evening in my studio... with a much needed glass of warm wine (sssssh, don't tell my cardiologist!) and an extra piece of my favorite chocolate...
The week started all right...
Monday evening we took Stach to the Ikea again to buy some additional stuff for his room and a new carpet for our living room... (oh, i have to tell you that the new living room floor covering purchase turned out to be a bit of a difficult one for Stach... he didn't want to help choosing in the store, and when we came home and unpacked the whole thing, he bursted out into tears! Poor thing curled up in a corner of our couch and weeped and weeped... in the end we found out that the old carped had to stay!!! He was far to attached to it... sat on it all those hours playing his Wii games... spilled so many glasses of juice on it... watched all his favorite tv programs on it! Don't you think it's the sweetest thing? Anyway... we were stunned for a brief moment, and than immediately assured him that we would keep it, have it professionally cleaned (it's an off white wool capet, or should i say 'was' after all those years of playing, sitting and spilling on it and not being able to keep it clean after many hot steam cleaning efforts...) and will put it in his new big boys room! Great solution... the dude was all happy again! Sweetie pie!
Tuesday was not to bad... a pile of problems that i had to solve at work, and unfortunately i didn't manage to go through even half of it, but the afternoon a good one! Stach did well at him drum lesson, and the visit to the bookstore didn't end with the so much wanted cool kids cook book, but we bought another Geronimo Stilton book and - see the bottom picture at the right - Stach immediately started reading it when we cycled home!
But then Tuesday night came, and i couldn't sleep at all! Worried sick of getting cancer all over again! And the hours i did sleep i had nightmares!!! Well, it should not have surprised me, because i had my first hospital appointment of the year the next day, after having a whole month 'off' in December! But it surprised me anyway...
So... Wednesday was not the best day, you can imagine... way to tired, still worrying a bit (trying very hard not to), suddenly feeling all the strange little pains and sore spots in my body again (hadn't felt anything the last month!)... not being able to concentrate on my work... and to top it off the appointment with my cardiologist was incorrectly scheduled! So i could go home again without seeing him and had to make a new appointment! And you guessed it already... it could not be planned within a couple of days, but January 31th is the first opportunity! Dang!!! I mean: dang!!! Treated myself on a some nice and bright yellow roses on the way home!
And Thursday it was back to the hospital again, for some 'maintenance' on my portocat and to support my buddy Wil, who is still on Herceptine. She didn't feel too bad after the treatment, so we could treat ourselves on some lunch. That was nice, but my happy mood soon disappeared when they called me from the hospital telling me that i have to wait for a month (!!) before i can see my surgeon to have my portocat surgery scheduled (don't need it anymore, cause the Herceptine treatment is cancelled)! Had my 3 monthly check up scheduled then, and there's no opportunity to see him sooner! Dang again!!!
And Friday was busy busy at work... many more problems to solve!
So, i'm very happy that it's weekend and that this week is over and done!
But, i have been playing around a bit in one of my ongoing projects... so i'll leave you with a few peeks!
Have a good weekend!
