Don't you love it to capture all the details of your summer vacation?
I do... taking loads of pictures, making notes, keeping brochures etc. Maybe it's because i'm not a very good traveller... i always need time to adjust to new environments and places, need time to feel at home somewhere else, and catching the things i love of that place -in pictures, words and keepsakes- helps me in this adapting process! Like my brain needs some encouragement to see -when browsing through the pictures and stuff of nice things collected that day- that it is indeed a nice place where i am...
Anyway, one of the things that's always a big challenge for me when i come home is combining all those memories into scrapped pages or even an dedicated album...
So when i stumbled across Ali's Scrapbook on the road class i immediately got exited... although i already made a similar album a few years ago, i bought the class a week prior to our vacation, jumped into my stash for some matching paint, papers and embellishments, made the fabulous clear page with fabric pattern paper and even bought a matching stamp set (the one to the left was already in my stamp collection) in my LSS...
I cut a cute camera shape with my Silhouette and attached it to the front of my album before painting it yellow...
The printed clear sheet (shapes by Karla Dudley) was a little bit too small, so i'm changing that one, but it looked cute so far...
It was fun to bind all the collected items in it when we were on the road (we went to Paris, because Stach wanted to see the Eiffel tower, and the to the north of France the second week) and i got a good change to play with my instax camera...
Yesterday evening we went through all our vacation pictures taken with our regular camera's and uploaded a bunch of them to the developer... hope they'll turn out all right, and that i can finish my album next week!
