Purging is (still) well underway...
It's amazing how much stuff a scrapper/crafter can accumulate over the years :)... and because i'm an excellent 'categorizer', i could enjoy myself working through a load of (mini) drawers, boxes and baskets, sorting and ordening my supplies...
Oh, and you know what i've found, tucked away on the bottom shelve in my closet?
A pile of 'vintage' CK, people, 2005 till 2009...
It's amazing how alike the fashion and scrapping industry are... when looking through those magazines the designs and colors looked so out of date... somehow it's quite shocking... of course i noticed the change in the color pallets over the last few years, and know that trends come and go in (the use of) materials that we put on our pages, but to see in black and white how big the transition is in 6 years... wow... to me our page designs look more balanced and 'complete' these days, the color palette not that bold (more craft, and the colors have a more 'neutral' huge), much and much more digital and hybrid work, and the manufacturers are less specific in their designs (a more basic approach in color and patterns, so supplies can be used for scrapping many topics instead of the specific cars pattern only to be used for a 'boy' page...), to name a few things...
Anyway... back to the purging... most of the supplies are sorted now... and a few things have found a new place in my studio... it's starting to look done, thank goodness :) !
I'm also looking for some new decor for my walls... bought these tiny canvasses, but i'm not exactly sure what to paint...
Ah, we'll see... back to my coffee...
