Last weeks AEzine was about sharing our creative skills:
"Sharing information and concepts and skills helps us all. There is power in sharing - acquiring knowledge and then passing it on. One of the best ways to become ever more adept at your skills, and hone your own personal creative philosophies, is to teach someone else.
Think for a minute about your favorite creative skill in your personal toolbox?
Take a couple minutes to look through your projects and layouts. What stands out as one of your creative skills? How can you share that skill with others to help everyone, the collective creative group, grow and learn?"
Well, not a topic I've got to think about for very long... I've got two creative techniques I love to use in my work... my home made foam stamp technique:
I wrote about this a few month ago here and here, and if you want to see more you can check this and this out, or read more here...
The second technique I use very often is making my own journaling cards:
I love to journal on my pages or in my minibooks, and I think it's even more fun to have something matching the theme of your work... so I make my own..
It's very easy if you know your way around in Word... just make a little table, and the play around with it: add a fun title, change the table color, add more columns or delete a few, change the border or leave it blank, just as you like it...(view an online tutorial about making tables in Word here)... and when your done, you can copy and paste a few more on your page and print... voila...
you could end up with something looking like this:
They're so much fun in your projects:
Hope you'll get inspired... have fun!!!
Thanks fort sharing, PJ. Your skills have always helped and inspired me so much. Those journaling cards are really very very cool!!!

I seriously have been loving the foam stamps - will definitely be running to find some fun foam (I think that's what they call it here) to try this out on! :oD

Ik vind de stempels en de journaling cards echt te gek. Ben ook al aan het proberen geweest en het is echt leuk om te doen. Dat kaarje met explore erop heb je die ook in Word gemaakt? Die lukt nog niet helemaal.
Ga zo door.
Liefs, Nancy

PJ, I LOVE the journaling idea, sometimes it is tricky to find just the right one to go with a project! Of course I love the stamps and really should give that a go too, don't think I could do as good a job as you though. Wasn't it great that Ali linked Maria in her AEzine. Have a good night.

TFS such awesome techniques. I got to ask though, how did you make the journal block with the brackets around it? I really like that one and have been playing with tables but haven't figured it out yet.
