Hi there!
Have been playing in my studio all evening, working on a couple of my fabric album pages, so i thought i'd share my progress before calling it a day!
Remember the problem i had with the Tulip burgundy dimensional paint from my last post? I fixed that by covering the ugly dots with my Golden medium magenta paint. To make sure i had even dots i made a quick paper mask simply by using a circle punch from my stash...
Voila... problem solved! I thought the dots could se a little extra, so i went over to my sewing machine... (i love to sew on my projects, so i have my sewing machine always at the ready in my studio!)
I randomly sewed along the dots... note to self: free motion stitching is easier with the right foot on your machine! Buy one!!!
Anyway... in the end i had the desired effect, and after attaching the tiny mirrors, adding a quote with india ink (yes, i have been studying Donna's project closely!) and hand sewing on a bunch of Gütterman tiny beads, i had the following result!
Pure happiness, is it not?
And adding a bit of green neocolor in the loops of my writing made it even better, but more about that the next time!
Page 4 (with the Holly hocks stamp) and page 7 (with the sad and seepy glimmermisted heart images) got a white wash, and then it was time to work on page 8...
Slapped on some Hay Ride Glimmerglam...
and covered the page with Electric blue and Key lime pie (green) Glimmermist... (stumbled upon that technique by accident on You Tube today, so i thought i might as well give it a try...)
(Not the best pictures i ever took, but they'll have to do...) And because i didn't like the result, i covered the green and blue parts with some extra distress ink! Hmmm... still not happy, but there's a lot that can be done, so we'll see how it turns out...
Oh, and i found this cute Silhouette bird design today too... and you know me... i'm thinking "foamstamp'! I mean, come on... how cute will it be?
But i'll leave that cuttin' and gluein' for tomorrow! Enough done for today!
See you!
Oh... love the details! You really are the queen of details!

Wow, I can't believe how much creativity is going on in your studio - amazing. How many products do you have? I think this project was designed with you in mind. Haven't used my 'one' glimmer mist yet, but I'll let you know when I do!

Ehm… now, how much product you ask? I hope you’re not really expecting a true answer to that question, ‘cause i’m NOT going to count J!But i’ve been collecting for many many years and i’m very carefull with my supplies, so they’ll last a long time! I think I’m using paint on my pages that is not manufactured anymore!Anyway… it’s nice to work on a project that involves using a lot of the stuff i’ve collected! Maybe working on canvas or fabric is fun for you too? I’m guessing you must have left over fabric from your beautiful hearts flowers projects? All you actually need is a piece of plain fabric, some gesso and that new bottle of glimmermist…
